The Volcano FR120 mailbox has been designed in accordance to the stringent fire testing standard BS EN 1363-1:2020 to restrict any potential fire ignited inside.
At 298mm wide x 140mm high x 360mm deep, the Volcano FR120 is a fully externally tested (by Warrington Fire) fire resistant mailbox, offering up to 120 minutes fire protection to temperatures of up to 1053 degrees whilst maintaining full integrity. The box is capable of taking a C4 envelope through the posting slot without bending and is manufactured using high gauge galvanized steel with a 1.2mm electro galvanized steel door & reinforced 1 mm body. There is also the new internal anti theft internal incline plate to further increase the security and reduce the opportunity of “phising” mail out illegally, making this box compliant with Secured by Design recommendations. The lock is hidden by a 2mm thick electro galvanized steel dust proof & fire retardant swivel cover, along with a fire resistant intumescant lining around the entire internal perimeter of the door & letterplate for a perfect seal & also includes a spring loaded push in posting flap. The box is also a European EN13724 approved standard, along with all materials used.
