Horizontal boxes are perfect when space is at a premium. There surface area is much less than the vertical options so you can fit more units into smaller spaces. These boxes are primarily used for internal installations as they have no posting slot flap. They can be used externally if required as long as they are not exposed to the elements as there is no protection primarily from the rain with the posting slot being uncovered. They are robust in both design and build and tend to be a cheaper than boxes that are designed specifically for external use.
