This unit can be used as both an internal mailbox designed to be fitted over the internal letterplate on the inside of a door OR most popular, a rear access/rear retrieval external postbox fitted to the back of an external gate/fence. Having no posting flap it is designed to be fitted flush against the aperture/hole that has been created in the fence/gate and mail retrieved securely and privately on the other side. We also supply a gate/fence front steel letter plate, available as per the image in the scrolling gallery bar. This would only be applicable when buying this postbox as an outdoor rear access unit. The letterplate opening slot is the identical size to the opening on the postbox at 240mm wide x 40mm high. For general mail and magazines & suitable for A4.
