A post box is an extension of your home and just like your house reflects what type of person you are, so does your mailbox. Your post box should always be similar to the design, shape and colour of your home.
A mismatched one will unattractively stand out. The post box should also be neat and clean. A person who does not care much about their home nor their appearance is more likely to have a dirty, worn out or even broken post box.
Your post box does say a lot about your personality. Someone that has traditional values and who likes to hold on to old memories of childhood will tend to have a traditional styled home and post box, while someone who embraces the new, might turn to a contemporary mailbox.
Different Types For Different Types Of People
Steel post boxes are very durable and have a bold look to them. They are chic and sophisticated. Compared to wooden or plastic ones, they reflect wealth and privacy. A person who would select such a mailbox would be someone who does live well and its stylish appeal most probably reflects a home just as elegant.
Someone who invests in a bigger mailbox possibly receives a lot of mail which means either they live well and have many bills to pay or simply a very popular person or receives huge packages.
A very important businessman on the other hand is more likely to have a Post Office Box to receive mail and will invest in a multipurpose post box and newspaper holder mainly for newspapers and junk mail.
