Parcel Delivery Boxes - October 6, 2008

There are many different options with regards to external mailboxes. As well as the more standard designs there are large and extra large capacity mailboxes that are ideal for the delivery and safe collection of even larger mail as well as newspapers and magazines. They also allow for the storage of some smaller parcels. Separate newspaper holders take this one step further in providing a means for the paper delivery service to leave your paper securely without damaging it or your other mail.

Another alternative is the dedicated parcel delivery box. A parcel delivery box is exactly that, and works in a similar fashion to an extra large capacity mailbox except that it allows for the secure storage of larger parcels. The box is left open until an item or some items are placed in it when the delivery person then fastens the numerical lock that only you can access. Parcels are kept securely and away from prying eyes so that you are guaranteed to get your delivery.

A unique six digit number is also supplied, provided on a weatherproof sticker that can be conveniently applied to the inside of the parcel safe box lid. This number can be used in place of a signature so that the delivery service can note the number and don’t need to leave the delivery with a neighbour or arrange another time to make the drop off. This helps ensure that you get all of your parcels delivered in a timely and secure fashion.
