Do You Need A Parcel Safe Box For Your Home? - November 19, 2008
Receiving regular parcel deliveries in the post or from the courier company can have its own set of problems. Not only is it commonplace for a signature to be required but many parcels simply won’t fit through the door and if you’re not around to sign for them or take their delivery then you may have to wait several days before you are able to collect them or arrange a suitable redelivery time.
Parcels being shoved into a post box or letter box can also lead to their own damage as well as to damage of anything else that is delivered in the same way. Standard post box delivery slots are not really designed for the delivery of parcels and so they are considerably smaller than the form of the parcel itself. Delivery people may need to try forcing the object or they will simply give up and await your instructions on what to do with the parcel next.
Parcel safe boxes can be added to the exterior of your home next to the post box. These include a unique signature pin that can be collected by your courier or delivery company when they leave a parcel for you thus negating the need for somebody to be at home to sign for the delivery. Parcel safe boxes are usually made from plastic because of their size, and green is the most common colour because of its natural appeal. Whichever colour and material you choose, though, a parcel safe box can help protect all of your deliveries including the mail.
